Not to worry here, no Broncos or Bronco drivers have been bit by snakes, not in this thread anyway. Just figured that a headline like that might get more looks than "My bumperettes" Maybe. Anyway, I've always been a fan of the Ford Cobra, the sizzling hot two seater. Can't afford a Cobra engine, so howzabout Cobra nerf bars. Ah, now yur talkin' my budget. Cobra nerf bars.jpg 'Cept I still couldn't swing it, so I went with Mustang. 20220506_124237.jpg This was still in the figuring out, howmi gonna do that stage. Tow hooks are clearly not ready for prime time. Bumperettes are from a Mustang Grande, btw. So this past month, I spent some time gettin' 'em closer to dun. First I hada fill the void. 20240807_160810.jpg And get it to stay there. 20240807_123533.jpg Cleaned it up 20240807_123524.jpg And a bit-o Bond-o 20240809_144107.jpg and a bit of shiny stuff 20240813_141543.jpg a bit of bolting 20240813_144845.jpg try one on for size
20240813_150226.jpg And call it a day. Hope yur not dis-appointed. No snakes or Broncos or horses or horses asses were hurt in the posting of this thread.

See. horses asses.jpg They're fine. Now I need to put some stainless mesh behind the scoop for the tranny cooler.

At least you didn’t say “snake bit and bound to die” Bronco! You def got my attention, Howard in beautiful Michigan, to say the least.

Nice work. I've always loved the Cobra's and even sent off for a Factory 5 brochure about 4 months ago. But then again, I love Broncos, Mustangs, Cobras, Fairlanes, Torinos, Mavericks, Cougars, Cyclones, ...well you get the idea!:ROFLMAO:

Can you post a pic of the entire front end?
I'd like to see your grill and headlights.
Thanks.

I am a purest when it comes to broncos in a lot of ways, the grille being something you don't screw with.

But I have to say, I don't hate this. Great looking rig.

Is your grill fiberglass?

Thanks Big. Fyi, I don't hate unmolested Broncos, so we're pretty much on the same page! The perimeter of the grille is original steel Bronco, whittled out in the middle. In its place, I put a pieced togethere 'frame' made of two 1980s F150 grilles, a corral and GT driving lights from a Mustang GT and a Bronco from a bronco. I backed the frame up with SS mesh and the Mustang corral with finer SS mesh. I made a custom roll pan from sheet metal and an air scoop from Ford Ranger hood and installed turn signals swiped from a different vintage Mustang GT. The lower air scoop will soon have SS mesh to match the hood scoop, which is another Ford ranger hood.
