Tearing down the Dana 20 in my '69. It's a t-shift so it has the lock ring. Any tips on getting it out? I can get on it, but just barely, with some Knipex snap ring pliers that I slightly modified, but still no joy.

Also, if I ever manage to spread it, which way do I go with it?

Thanks!

Scott

Not sure if you have the room, but when you have the clip squeezed could you get a pick or a thin screwdriver behind it and pop it out? And you may have tried it; I don’t know, but maybe that’ll work.

I don't think that will work, but thanks for the input.

I did mine a couple years ago but that step must not have been a deal breaker for me.
