Soft Tops and Wiper Motors

I have a BC top, which uses the wiper motor lowering bracket. I'm wanting to put a wiper motor cover AND use sun visors. So far, the covers for soft tops make using sun visors a no go. Anyone come up with a solution? I have an old original cover that I'm going to test fit and see what I'd need to do to make it work so I can use the original sun visors. I'm guessing some type of trimming down the height?

I used my old one for the Kayline top. Almost hated to do it, but I cut a round hole on the passenger side for the wiper motor to stick out. I seem to remember it all working out pretty well.
Even though the top did contact the top of the cover, it was not a hard contact and I simply put some material in between the two, to keep the top from scuffing and eventually rubbing through.

Don't have any pics though unfortunately, but never had any trouble with either the top of the bikini.

Here is a simple idea I "stole with pride" from one of our members years ago. It took ~15 minutes and half a beer to fab up and install. The two visors are connected with rubber fuel hose. :p

This is Brilliant!

My stock wiper cover didn't survive the last time I took the top off and put it back on. I'm going to work on copying this tonight. Thanks for posting the pics.

Now for what i did. I. Ut the end off one cover right before it curved around. Then cut another cover as far inward toward the center as i could. Then i joined them together on the inside with fiberglass. I also put a second dome light in right on the seam so the bolts were one on each half. This extended the cover to completly cover the wiper motor and use the visors. I have since installed a homelink right in the middle so I dont have to carry an opener any more. Here is a lic before paint so you can see how i joined them

Here are two different ways I solved the problem. On my 77 I just tied the visor bracket into the roll cage. On my 70 trail rig I wanted to be able to fold the windshield down so it needed to be separate from the cage.
