I don't know if this picture will help but maybe ??? This tunnel had the top cut off and a new top welded onto it so it is about 2 inches taller than a normal tunnel. If I can find a picture without bedliner I'll post it :) EDIT - best I could do ...

The 3550 shifter looks awkward as hek tho. Is that the regular location when doing that conversion ?:?

Yes that is the normal location, but the conversion kit comes with a longer stick that you attach to the shifter stub. I guess it is about 15" longer.

There's no mention of which t case shifer you are using, so here are pics of both of mine.
The Hurst shifted truck is an NV3550 with a T style shifter t case, the factory NV3550 shifter is in a truck with the factory J style t case shifter.
Both sets of pics were taken with the tranny in neutral and the
t case in 2 wd. Hope they help!
(edit... I must add, the T style shifter is fabbed from flat stock to mimick the factory shifter, but designed to take a matching Hurst stick, the J style shifter was modified to work using all factory shifter pieces. Also, the yellow EB has a 1" b lift, the blue one has a 3" b lift.)

Nv3550 Pics

Hey Broncass here are the pics of my set up. A day late but they are here now. NV3550, Tshift twin stick from Toms, and a 2" body lift. I am still working on a new shifter for the trans ( I hate the one that came with the kit)and trying to get the boot for the twin stick to fit right. It sits in a bad spot when you try and mount it to the floor. 69sport

The t case stick is from a GM t case, the NV's stick is for the Jeep application, pn 3910140 you can search it out at the MR Gasket website....
Has great feel and only uses about 3- 3.5" of throw from 1-2 or 3-4 etc...
or you can copy/ paste this for the site...
