Speedometer repair?

I don't recall exactly what this one does, it either bounces back and forth to the point it is useless or it does warp speed and spins round and round. Is there somebody who can fix it up or do I need to find a new one?

Thanks,
Jason

If it's bouncing you might try lubing the cable. Spinning around is probably beyond repair.

It could be the gears in the gauge or the cable. Be sure to use a good dry lube vs. something like WD 40 ( stay away from anything that will attract dirt. Ask Dennis from Wiretech, he just rebuilt my head unit, and got everything dialed in. He is a wealth of info on fixing speedo's

I took mine completely apart and cleaned it, then set it back to zero mileage. Cleaned the odometer digits and the face. I never saw it work first so I didn't try to repair anything. I agree if it is bouncing get speedo cable lube at Napa, if it spins around the the internal gears are probably broken.
