I said I wouldn't get one but there's now a 2021 Bronco Sport in the WILD HORSES corral. These started showing up at the dealerships and I went OCD for a few days looking. Found my blank canvas (white BASE) at Walnut Creek Ford, they were great. I think this is my first car that gets over 20 mpg so that's nice. It won't stay stock for long. Here are our before pics. Stay tuned if you are interested in seeing the changes.

Sweet, I'd love to add one to my driveway. I like them a lot. But with getting a 202? Bronco, my DD the Raptor I don't have room for it. My son needs a new ride, he don't need the payment.

I can't wait to see the transformation.

It went through the mud hole just fine. I made sure by going fast.;D I will say these don't have much ground clearance and you are not going to get very much on one of these. Not in comparison to an early Bronco anyway. I actually think comparing the Bronco Sport to any previous Bronco version is kind of pointless. It's really something completely different e.g. put it in a rally race or an overlanding trail. I think this is the segment it's intended for.

Mitch just kicked out this video it has some of our first impressions.

Working on new stuff is nice because they are so Clean. So much for that:p

I was thinking as I was taking some parts off the front end if it was a good idea to thrash this baby Bronco in the mud. I probably should have done more r&d first. The hot water pressure washer came in handy again! So far no bolts, screws or fasteners have broke. Totally different that working on old stuff.;D

A few quick and simple upgrades. I had the top wrapped and windows tinted to get the black top look not available on the BASE. Added stock size 225/65R17 Yokohama Geolander G003 mud tire. Baby mud tire for baby Bronco. Yes they make more noise than the stock street tires but not much more. Small lift to come and maybe larger tires later. I want to get a few trips in so I have a reference point. So far good little commuter car. Seems a lot bigger than it is when you drive it. If you have the seat low the hood goes on forever. Should be headed to KOH next week for some additional testing. Is there a baby Bronco rock trail out there?;D
