stainless windshield hinge?

I've seen pics of stainless windshield frames and they are not for me. But what about using just a stainless windshield hinge? Is that done? If so, can anyone show me a pic of one where the hinge is stainless but the windshield frame is painted body color?

just put SS windsheild frame, hinge and hood hinges also,sanded primed and painted just like bare metal,no probs! got mine from Toms!

Thanks for you reply. I'm not really wanting to do any painting. I'm just wondering what it would look like with just a repleacement hinge and leaving it bare stainless.

Not sure its possible to remove the old hinge without repainting the windshiled frame. Also removing the hinge from the body will leave that cowl area to be repainted also.

I wouldnt worry about ever seeing the tiny bit of hinge area that is visible, its all the work required to change out the hinge thats the problem. Its not gona be possible to do without alot of work and repainting

Unless you have one of the early windshield frame hinges that was bolted on. Then it would quite easy to replace.
