well, i've been puting this job off for over a year and now i know why. looks like it's a basket case. this customer of mine has a '74 bronco, 302 (i need to rebuild), C4, power steering (i'll be converting to saginaw pump), if there were bumb stops left in front it'd be sitting on them the springs are so worn out, i'll be installing a 2" duff lift with front hoops, converting to disc brakes, converting to power brakes, installing a tilt column, replacing the seats, installing a tranny cooler, and the list goes on. the good thing is that the guy is willing to spend the money. the bad thing is he's 35 mles away and i'm already doing a $60,000.00 restoration for someone else. oh well, i guess now i'll have plenty of experience for mine when i get around to it. it's just nice to see more broncos being put back on the road.

Ben,

I know you usually do the work at the owners location, but 35 miles each way adds up. If you have the room, maybe you should bring it home.

I got a truck&trailer (20 ft flatbed), if you ever need help moving things around.

Just a thought!

thanks for the offer, but i don't have the room. it only costs me 2 gallons of gas to go both ways so i don't mind. i'll only be working on it 1 day a week anyway. he's paying my mileage.

Is the 60,000$ rig yellow and live near Lake Forest? Get your own done before you start another one.
yeah, i know huh. unfortunately money comes first.

no, it's duff blue and still in it's garage in san clemente. won't be done for a few more months. i want to have it ready for fab fords and bronco daze. still haven't started wiring, built bumpers, or the dash. gonna be fuel injected so still have a lot of wiring to do. the yellow one sounds like steve millers.

We need pictures of it now and when its done. I was talking to a local Bronco guy in Mission Viejo one day after he followed me to a friends house and told me about a yellow one in Lake Forest that had 50k in it. Damn people in Orange Country with all this money.
