Steering Column I.D. Parts

I have a 70' with A.T. and I'm rebuilding the column and running into questions in regards to parts needed to rebuild it properly.
I have no prior info on this Bronco and when I pulled the column there were no bushings or bearings at all.
From looking at the vendor sites, it seems that the columns have different bearing sleeves from 66-73 to 74-77 and seeing I had none in my column to begin with I don't know which ones to go with.
Also, does anyone have an exploded view of the column and all it's parts by any chance?

Thanks for any and all help.. Dave T

The first one in you pics is what you need. 2 of them. There is also a bearing they set in. 2 of them. I don't know how to add a link but on fordification.com they have a good write up on there for the columns. That last pic you have shows the column without the turn signal housing. That will have the upper bearing in it. Ken

If he has a '70 with an automatic transmission and column shifter, we have no idea what year his column is from. The plastic sleeve in the first picture was not used after '73 because the bearing changed in '74. Unless he is running the one year only '73 auto column, he won't need the plastic sleeve in the first photo at all.

Do you have a photo of the shift indicator housing? That would be the easiest way to tell. If your turn signal switch has a light bulb, you don't have a '73 column.

A pic of the bottom of the column and turn signal switch housing would be best. Here are your "Bronco" options.
1973 A/T
1974/75 A/T
1976/77 A/T
each one will use a differing set of bearings and sleeves.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I have a column shift and I'm replacing the turn signal switch as well (it was broken and kind of started the whole rebuild).
I can't recall if I have the lightbulb in the original switch, I do know I have the hazard pull on the switch if that makes a difference...I'll check for the bulb when I get home and send pics of housing and bottom of column.

Thanks again!

OK guys,
The old switch has a bulb and the hazard switch.
I included a pic of the housing and bottom of column as well as the old switch.
So, It's not a 73'coulmn?
Any clearer idea from pics which year it is?

Thanks again for sharing the knowledge...

74/75 auto column. Order the bearings and sleeves shown in pictures two and three from your original post. One of each for the top, one of each for the bottom.
