I have a set of radius arms that everything is good except were the rear bushings go on. Between the arm and treaded part is shot. Does anyone sell that portion that can be cut off and a new pc be welded in? Or are they trashed?
They really don't look that bad. If the spindel is solid i'd clean up and use. Chisel away at it and see how much more slag comes off. Mine are off and look abit worse than those.
So you would run them dave67fd ?The only thing that I'm worried about is that, the non threaded part is now smaller than the threaded part. I'll see how much more comes of tomorrow after work. How small can it go before its no good?
Those threads in the third picture look a little jacked maybe its the camera angle. If your worried about replace them. Prob can get them cheap. If the nuts go on well. Use them.
I've welded up ones worse than those. Dont know if anyone makes replacement ends. But I think it could be fairly easy to fix with a welder and possibly some tubing. But as was said you can probably find a better set. 78/79 F150/broncos used arms the same lenght and nearly identical. Later F150'd and broncos possibly even ford rangers and BII's had a different style of arm but that area you need could probably be salvaged easily and grafted on to your arms. Of course if you could find bolts with the correct sized shanks for the bushings you could just use them.
