Stock Wheel Inner Diameter... Center Hole

I've been doing some searching... and I'd take my own wheel off to measure, rather than having you guys jump through hoops of fire, just to see the look on your face, but my jack won't lift my truck :-/

Can anyone let me know what the Inner diameter on stock wheels are... the center hole? Is it 3 3/8ths ? My calipers wouldn't quite fit, but they seemed to measure more like 3.5"? Or are they bigger?

Thanks!

That sounds about right. My memory was telling me that it was 3.25, but your 3.5 sounds about right. Let me go look at one of mine (yeah, still on the truck) and see what I can see.

Sorry. Got Shanghaied by some chocolate chip ice cream.

4.25" is the proper "large" bore diameter for the Fords. Can probably get away with a little less, but I hear a lot of people running into trouble these days by getting wheels with holes too small.

Thanks for measuring for me!

I found some 15x6 stock ford wheels for a good price, but they have a 3 3/8th center hole. Just trying to figure out if I can run them.

I suppose I can hog them out on the bridgeport, if they don't fit.
Just didn't wanna go through the hassle.

You can do that. Did you make sure that they were still a 5 on 5.5 bolt pattern though?
There certainly are a lot of wheels with the correct pattern on the small bore, but there are plenty of smaller bolt-pattern wheels out there too.
Doesn't hurt to verify before hogging things out.

Good luck.
