Yes, Chris and Glen finished first in class 5C (myriad of classes). They kicked butt. Chris' goal each day was to finish and have a cocktail in hand before dark and he accomplished his goal every day.

More stories and pics to follow as we unpack and unwind. Needless to say, things went almost perfectly. We didn't have to wrench on the truck at all, which is almost unheard of in off-road racing, particularly in multi-day events. The truck has just a few things to touch up. We lost a bolt or two here and there but no dents, dings, or broken stuff.

Glen's favorite moment was passing the Stroppe Edsel (about which was about 10" away at the time) at ~105 mph going down the beach on the Pacific side.

Chris said he could wash it, gas it, and go run it in the Baja 500 next month.

Going through my pics here and will post some shots as soon as I'm home. What a great trip and dream come true! There was nothing like seeing it rumble past at speed outside Cocos and also get the checkered under the big Tecate sign on the malecon in LaPaz. TZ and I will start a new thread for the pics soon!

I think I have a new favorite Bronco. Thanks for the pics. Was it common on the Stroppes prepped for desert racing to have the air cleaner in the front of the cab? Somebody also mentioned a build was it posted here?

Yes, the in-cab air filters were a "signature feature" of many of the Stroppe racing Broncos.
