Surprise in my Summit Racing order....

I ordered 3 items yesterday from Summit racing and this morning I got an email (as usual) with the shipping info. I noticed there were 4 items being shipped and I didn't recognize the part number for the 4th item. I went and looked it up on their site and it's a Summit Racing Hat. They didn't charge me for it. IS this a sign that I have spent too much money with them over the past year ????

This week marks one year since I got and started working on my Bronco...I'm scared to add up the receipts and I'm sure my wife doesn't need to see it.

I just got some stuff from Summit a few days ago. I got a free hat too, and a $10 coupon, a bunch of stickers and some deoderant :D Not to mention some really nice aeroquip stuff for my hydroboost ;)

The $8 handling fee and free shipping is nice too!

You know you are ordering too much from Summit when you always have an open order and just keep adding to it. The phrase “that’s on back order” is a good thing because you know you can call back in a few days and order more stuff on the same ticket. I have only paid that handling fee twice this year. I don’t even know how many shipments I have gotten. I have even inquired about opening an account.

Tom ;D

It cuts down on the "On Hold" time when you smell bad.

I was just going to say...read your packing receipt carefully. Summit printed the $20.00 gift certificate info directly on it in my case. I came close to throwing it out. Just used it toward a complete set of Autometer Ultralites:)

It's their way to try and keep you buying from them and not go to the competition like jegs or others.

One year I got a jacket from them with their logo. That prompted me to add up my receipts. Low and behold, I wish I didn't because that slowed down the project.

I think the $2-3 they spent on the hat is well payed for in the $100's of dollars we all have spent with them. And they know how gety we get when they give us free (yet cheap and lame) gifts.

I've never had to order anything from Summit yet, but I live close to all the JEGS stores in/near Columbus, OH. Everytime I go in there they give me a hat, stickers, catalog, shirts, etc.... I have to tell them that I already have plenty. ;D

Good to know Summit gives out hat though... De-ogre-ant, too. ;D I have to order some guages from them soon.

I've got 3 hats from them in the last month and a half. I finally threw 2 of them away and doubt I will ever wear the other one. I have too many hats already.

Chum is a good thing! :) Although I never got a hat from them, they seem to send me a catalog in the shipment weather I need it or not. :D

I noticed that Summit keeps sending firewood (catalogs) with there shipments. Usually toward the end of the 2 month catalog life. I guess that is how they get rid of aging catalogs that will be replaced in a couple weeks.

Now if they would just keep my customer number on all the catalogs they send me that would make life easier. I hate always running around looking for the one catalog that actually came in the mail that has the numbers on it. Then again there caller ID usually recoginizes me anyway.

Now if they would just send me that 10% off your next order coupon again...

I'm lucky I guess I can go down to my local Summit Racing shop and pick out everything and have it all in the same day. Plus all the stuff that gets returned goes on a shelf for a huge discount. Plus free hats , sun visors for your car and other stuff. I usually stop by 2 times a week on my way home from work to see what they have in the return pile.
