I am installing a 2.5" lift on my bronco this weekend and wanted to know if there are any tips or tricks to help make the installation go easier. I have installed springs in my old truck and have must common garage tools including an air compressor. I started soaking the bolts with PB Blaster. So is there anything I should watch for? Anything special about installing the radius arm bushings? I want to try any prevent the bronco lean while installing this lift. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

The instructions to prevent Bronco Lean that are posted on various sites around the net are pretty much spot-on. Just take your time and make sure both radius arm ends hit the (level) ground under your Bronco at the same time when you rock them back.
Installing my rear leafs was a challenge but some creative thinking got them installed. I won't share my method as I'm certain there are better (safer) ways.

Good luck!

When I did my leafs I installed the front end of the leaf first and then the back. As for the fronts the only difficulty there is the radius arms. I used a ratchet strap to pull the arms together and into the mounts. I then attached the strap to the front axle and to the frame and pulled it back allowing the radius arms to slide into the holes. And follow the instructions http://www.wildhorses4x4.com/product/bronco_lean/bronco_suspension

When installing your C bushings, make sure you have them in correct.
They are labeled what end it front top, rear bottom.

To help avoid the Bronco Lean, and get the C-bushings to set correctly, clean the inside of the radius arm and caps, and the axle wedges. Then apply some sort of lubricant to the C-bushings. I used wheel bearing grease (it was within arms reach at the time) although I've heard of guys using almost anything, including dish soap.

When installing the front coils, set the lower coil retainer and cup in place. Start the two bolts a couple threads. Then "screw" the coil into place and tighten the two bolts. See this Tech Article for tips on installing the upper retainer. http://classicbroncos.com/springretainers.shtml
