Tachometer wiring question

Ok installing new tach in the 73, replacing the old rusty unit hose clamped to the column.
Old tach pre-wired with white, black, red, green leads. New tach has studs to land wires.
Easy ones white for light, black for ground. Question is there any standard for the signal and ignition switch wires on a tach. I’m down to the Green and red. Like to get them right the first time.
Thanks for any help in advance.

On mine the Red is power, Black is ground, White is lighting, Green is for the tach signal. I think that is fairly universal but don't hold me to it.
Hope it helps!
