Wow, can't believe he came out a bluntly said that Ford is bringing the Bronco back. That is about as concrete as you can get next to seeing it in person, which is next.

Sweet! Just honestly scared with what they are gonna come out with and that they are gonna price it too high to compete with the Jeeps out there!

I'm thinking it will be a compact built on the Ranger frame with 4 and 6 cylinder option, probably 2wd and 4wd.

In the car business they build one type of vehicle in a plant, not a mix of unibody and trucks with frames. So either the Ranger will turn into a unibody or the Bronco will be built on the Ranger frame.

Either way, won't be buying one. But I'll be buying some shares of Ford stock.

I shared this article in a thread a while back: http://www.reuters.com/article/us-ford-mexico-idUSKCN11K1W0

"In April, Ford reiterated that it was planning to build two new vehicles at the Wayne plant beginning in 2018. Analysts have said they expect Ford to build a new Bronco SUV and Ranger pickup there."

I will be one of those folks waiting on line for it.

No matter what it is.

But it will be built on the Australian Endeavor Chassis. A tough body on frame design that holds up well in Australia.

Ranger will be built on the same platform.

UAW confirmed this Months ago.

I will not be thanking Trump for anything though.

I'm looking forward to the new Bronco release, as well. For different reasons though. I'll be standing in a different line to purchase all of the Broncos that will be traded in for the new ones. ;D

If it is on the Ranger platform, I would say it may be the 2.7 Ecoboost, rear wheel drive native and optional 4wd. Probably the 4cyl Ecoboost will be standard. Both choices are pretty good for a mid-sized pickup. I don't see a V8 in the options, as the only V8 right now is the 5L. It is a big motor for that size truck. (Physically) By the time you add AC and the intercooler and all the stuff with the 2.7 EB, even it is not small. I have a 3.5 EB in my '15 F-150 and love it. Quick and will tow anything I throw at it. Mileage is whatever I do with my right foot. That is the issue with these. They are almost too much fun to drive. I switch to "sport mode" and turn off traction control and it doesn't act like a 4-door pickup anymore............ This is my second one of these and I have never had to take one to the shop for repairs in over 150,000 miles of driving.

That's going to be one hell of a short line.... Let's see, there's going to be you and.... Well, just you. I may buy a new one eventually but no way I'd trade my EB.:p

Here is the good news. I was speaking with a person who works for a company that supplies to ford. I am being vague on purpose.
He told me he is working on connectors for the new bronco. The connectors are for removable doors! That tells me it will not be a small boring explorer. Time will tell.

Crossing my fingers that this is true! ;D

The Bronco6G rendering shows removable hinges. I still think this is a trial balloon with Ford origins.

The guy who told me, knows I have broncos. He started the conversation. I have known him for a few years. I also said it was all talk at this point and he corrected me and said they were in contract and production stages of these parts. Not prototype stuff. Sounds official to me.
