As many of you may know, I have been with James Duff Inc. for over five years, primarily in Technical Support and Sales, but wearing many hats along the way. That time has been of great benefit to me (and I hope, to them, as well).

Thanks to you, the Bronco Community… and the support of Suzy, Judy, Jim, and Michael Duff…along with all of the James Duff staff, my shop has grown to a level of self-sufficiency. We had hoped that I could remain with the Duff family in a reduced capacity, or part time role. However, looking at the big picture for both James Duff Inc. and my business, a solution that could benefit both companies did not present itself. Therefore, under the best terms I resigned.

The RPM Garage has been my “side business” since 1998. It has always been my ambition to operate the shop full time, and “work for myself”. That time is now here, and I look forward to working with as many of you as will have me.

I hope to see and meet many of you, in my “new” capacity, at Super Celebration this fall.

Thank you for looking in!

Great to hear Mike! I just drove down from KY and met the people of Duff's about two weeks ago, we'll have to come down and check out your shop soon. Again great to hear and I'm sure you'll do great.

Good luck Mike! You’ve been incredibly helpful (and patient) answering all my questions, hope they find a good replacement.

Congratulations! You spent a lot of time and emails helping me with my build and what parts to order. Good Luck with your shop

You will be missed there. Hopefully they can find someone as knowledgable and passionate about Broncos as you. Best of luck with the new adventure.

What's your specialty?

Building reliable and good handling/riding driver quality Early Broncos. At this point, I don't have room for more "frame-offs", but anything up and to that point.

From a technical standpoint, I feel these are my strongest areas:
1) True diagnostics. I don't believe in "throwing parts at it until it is fixed".
2) Braking systems and hydraulic theory (I am a Hydratech dealer)
3) Steering geometry and component diagnostics
4) Cooling systems (whether cold climates; hot climates; A/C; big cubes; etc.)
5) Suspension system design and upfit
6) Wiring and electrical

I offer everything from basic mechanical to complete builds...minus the "frame-offs", as mentioned earlier.

I will take in more frame-offs when the next shop expansion is complete. Right now, I just don't have the number of bays necessary to devote one to such a long term build.

Although I no longer offer true "paint and body", I do "rough-in" work so that life is easier on the paint and body specialists.

I have been building vehicles, of one configuration or another, for over 30 years.

Thank you for inquiring!

Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes and support.

I am glad to hear that I was able to assist when you needed it!

I, too, hope the Duffs can find a good "Tech Guy" to be there for your future needs.

I look forward to meeting many of you in person at Bronco Super Celebration East. This will be the first time in 5+ years that I will have enough time available and can be there for the entire event! (Looking forward to the first time taking part in the swap meet! I have always only been able to go to the event on Saturday...when most of the "deals" have already passed me by!)

My plan is to have a few of my customers parked together so that you may see some of my work and/or talk to the owners.

Thanks, again, everyone!
