Just a quick note to say thanks to our many bronco friends for their phone calls, visits, FB posts, etc during and since our surgeries. My husband and I are fortunate to be participants in the paired kidney exchange program at University of Md Medical Center in Baltimore. This allowed my husband to receive a kidney transplant thanks to a generous donor in St. Louis, MO and I dontated a kidney to a transplant patient in New Jersey. We are doing well and the notes and calls are greatly appreciated as we hang around the house recuperating. I'm sure he'll be ready for me to go back to work next week ;D

It was great to see Drew (Broncitis) and Pat, and Allen (allenfahey) and Lisa at the hospital. Gary (Scoop) lives nearby and I know he and his wife will be by the house to help us out with anything over 10 lbs. We truly appreciate the support. It goes without saying our family has been critical to our well-being also.

Happy Holidays to all!
Judy

I know Gary will step up but if there is anything my family can do to help you around the house let us know. You said Roger needs to come back to the hospital for blood work a few more times in the next few weeks. If you do and it's around dinner time stop by for dinner. No since in driving back to northern Virginia in traffic :)
Get well soon!

That is great news. That same place has helped several family members of mine with kidney transplants (unfortunately kidney disease runs in the family). I'm sure you know that just finding a kidney can be hard. Congratulations And good luck on a speedy recovery!

Best wishes from Hudson Wisconsin and Elmer. (Colleen & Karl) First for your husband's and your good health and kudos for you donating. I've done 3 gallons of blood but can't imagine a kidney.

I had not thought of that!

I might have to get Roger to help me with the food for the Roudnup next year!;D

It was great to see how good both of you looked when we visited you at the hospital and we look forward to seeing both of you in Richmond next month at the annual MEB meet and greet.

If there is anyway we can help, I'm just a phone call away.

Thanks Allen. We should have done this tonight. We left Balt at 4:30, got home 2-1/4 hrs later, should take 1-1/2 hrs.
