Just sharing a few pics of my street bronco resto mod. Building something my wife can go cruising in. Aiming to have it done in April so I can get started rebuilding mine. Still have to paint it, build some simple bumpers and finish a ton of assembly details.
Some specs....
302 with efi, 5 speed, dana 20, explorer 8.8 with 3:73 and posi, dana 30 front, power 4 wheel discs, power steering, power heated seats, power windows, power door locks

Looking great! I dig those efi hard lines, what are they from? Also I notice you're not running the hard heater tubes; do you find it better to go with rubber heater hose along the fender well instead?

Thanks for the compliments
The hard lines are just stock 5.0L lines. If your using the heater around here its on full heat so I can get away without the heater control valve. I run the lines like that because it looks cleaner.
The brakes are one of my custom jobs. I picked up a bunch of brand new calipers from a dealer here that took them off when they did a run of custom 2010 mustangs years ago.

Intresting choice for axels, I guess thats all you need for the street.
What tires and wheels are you going with?

I have an offroad Bronco, so this one will never go offroad. That's why a 30 up front will be just fine. The rear 8.8 was chosen because of price, low mileage, disc brake, 3.73 gear explorer diffs are cheap here. No way to build a 9" even close.
Probably run 31-32" all terrains on 16 or17" wheels.
Got some more work done on the wiring and reassembled the speedo. Just need to modify a volt meter to fill the ammeter hole.

Using screw in studs to get the 5.5" bolt pattern or are you going to use adapters, either way good choice on the 8.8 more folks should really consider using them.

Drilled the axles for screw in studs with the 5.5" bolt pattern. For a street or mild of road these are a good choice. Bad point is the big rib that hangs down on the bottom. Not a good thing for a serious off road axle.

Nice work on the brakes...what rotors did you use with the Mustang/PBR calipers? I'm looking to something similar on my HP D44, so I was just curious ...I was planning on machining out the centers of the rotors, but maybe you found something off-the-shelf.

Apogee......This brake setup was done to give room for a 16" wheel , a 15" wheel with the right type of inside would also work. The rotor needed a bolt pattern change and the centre bored. The drum brake hub flange needed the o.d. machined also. Nothing high tech or hard to do, but definitely not a bolt on set up.
I have a setup on my other Bronco I have been running for almost 10 years using Cobra PBR calipers and a 13.25" rotor. On that bronco I'm running 17" wheels and I think a 16" may fit. I have mounting brackets for the calipers I could sell you. You need to supply the rotors, calipers and the small parts. I could supply the whole deal but the shipping would suck.

After working though some efi issues I got it running. I still have to replace the injectors since they are restricting fuel flow to the point of never coming out of a lean condition. That's what you get with old used parts. I checked today and its cheaper to get new ones than to get these ones cleaned.
So now back to the body and paint fun. Get the garage cleaned up, spray the hi build primer, block sand and then paint. Did I mention that I hate sanding.......blah.

Been doing my favourite thing.....block sanding. But I got some paint on a couple of parts tonight. I'll do the final sand on the outer surface over the next few days. Then pull it all out to give the garage a real good clean. Cant wait to get the paint done , then its on to assembly, the fun part.

Got the tub painted tonight. Not enough room in the garage for all the other parts at once. I will get those painted next week. Pretty happy with it considering its my first time painting. I have done some painting but never a full vehicle.

Are you gonna put a taxi-cab meter in that too?;) Just kidding - but be ready for comments like that - I own a Proton Yellow Isuzu Vehicross as my daily driver for 5 1/2 years now; not a week goes by without me hearing a comment like THAT!;D

The good thing about a color like that for a DD; when you come out of whatever store/mall you've been shopping in, and you've forgotten where you parked, it's REAL easy to spot!
