I love it. You can't go wrong with a loud color on a bronco! Great work and skills you have there, lucky wife for sure!

We had a 2005 mustang this colour and I plan on putting some stripes on the Bronco. The taxi meter might be a plan since my kids want to drive it also. They need more practice with a manual first before they drive it.

I think I'm the lucky one, with what I have into my Bronco and the trips I take it on my wife deserves one of her own. Besides she was wanting a Pontiac Solstice......HAD to get her out of that.

Thanks for the compliments, I actually do this stuff for a living. Just never had to do a full paint before, always had a full bodyshop where I worked. Now that I have my own shop I don't have a body and paint side.

Been working quite a bit on assembly. Installed the tires, might have lower the rear. It has stock springs but the back end is to high for my liking. Heres a few pics

From the pic's it looks like the FRONT needs to come up, not the rear down. Are those glass fenders on the front w/ the built-in flares?

If it was going to go offroad I would lift the front but my wife will drive this one on the street only. She isn't a tall person, so losing a little height is the best thing.
Correct, the front fenders are glass with the flares.

The other one is probably hiding under the truck.

Worked on all the door details today. Rebuilt the vent windows. Modified the window lifts to fit power window motors. Cleaned and modified the door latches for power door lock solenoids and wired those up. Replaced the centre of the dash panel since it was hacked. Hopefully the dash will be powdercoated this week so I can get the interior finishing going. Going to mount all the switches for the windows, locks and seat heaters in the console where the stereo would be and the stereo will be in the dash.

Think I will put a Boss 302 style of stripe on it in satin black.

Short first test drive this morning. Feels real good except for the brakes, booster doesn't seem to be working right.

Did you have an unreliable supplier on that booster?

Looks good, and the "proper" lift for a street Bronco, IMHO. I might have missed it - what height lift to you pick, and who was the supplier for your springs and shocks? I like the wheel choice too!

Hi Todd, I didn't buy the brake booster kit. Its new and just ended up with it from someone elses project that it didn't get used on. Its one of the vendors kits but I have had it for probably 10 years. Its one step from the garbage can and a hydroboost setup. Was going to check it out today but had to repair a power steering line that blew in the middle of the gatekeeper on my daily driver instead.

Ganzman....Thanx ....There is no suspension lift, just stock springs and shocks. It has a one inch body lift for the 5.0 intake and runs 265/75/17 tires.

No... the boosters from "Schmucks Brakes" are all fine.... LOL
Should have just put a hydro on it and been done. But with a new vacuum system sitting in my shop , it needed to go somewhere. This truck was put together mostly from my piles of parts and once its done a lot of whats left will be going.

So the vacuum brake booster was the problem with the brakes.
Did all the tests and it passed them all , it functions as it should. The problem was pedal travel and lack of good braking action. Went on a test drive this morning and the brakes sucked so I bleed them again. No improvement. Had someone helping me bleed and had the engine running to see if that would help. That's when I saw the booster expanding like a blowfish with each application of the brake. This p.o.s. made in Cambodia booster was flexing like a wet noodle. 1.5 inches of pedal travel absorbed in the booster flex before I got any braking action. Picked up a rebuilt mustang 2 booster and problem solved.

Been driving it a little. Getting a bikini top done on Friday. T case tailhousing had no play but squealed like mad at any speed above 10 mph. Swapped in my spare tailhousing last night That stopped the noise but need to take it for a good run to check.
My daughter will use it to go to her prom in two weeks. She is pretty excited about taking it.
