I crawl under the EB to top off my transfer case before a big event coming up in my area (I had noticed a few regular drips). I go to top it off and find it takes over a quart! As soon as I fill it, it's starts leaking out the front output yoke seal. I pull off the driveshaft and literally it's just pouring out around the yoke.

While I was under there, I noticed one of the 2 shift rods for my 3-sp column is entirely disconnected with the pin missing!! WTF how did that happen and still be drivable.

While inspecting that, I found my ebrake return spring lodged between the frame and my exhaust. Obviously it decided to pop off....

So now I'm scrambling trying to get fixed for an event 2 days away. I call my local ford stealership for the TC seal and the parts counter can't even look up parts earlier than 1980!? called the local pepboys/autozone, all special order... I'm hurtin...

Try Napa there usually good.
as for the seal check with an industrial drive line supplier. you will need to know the inner and outer diameter.

was looking for the dana 20 gasket/seal kit the other day and Auto Zone was the only local supplier that carried it but it was still 2 days away coming from their Houston warehouse to me 200 miles distance. best IMHO is to get from a Bronco vendor like BCB and overnight delivery.
