'73 Broncos had a one year only fuel system with a return line. '73 sending units had a feed and return port. If a '73 Bronco was equipped with two tanks, the switch under the driver seat had six ports instead of the common three for all the feed and return lines.

Agreed. Why the need for return? Did it have a need for a return fuel line? Or was this Fords way of thinking ahead?
