How's it guys Taz here. So it's been awhile since anyone heard of the fire bronco. With the new year that came around It was time for a rebuild. If you don't know here's a link where it all got started
https://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70103

For you guys who do know, I've been using this rig as my daily driver to work and fishing. alot of rust and usage has been going on. The original 302 and c4 had to be taken out felt like it was losing compression. I dropped in a rebuilt 351 that I built with a rebuilt c4. Now that there was a new motor in, I figured why not do the whole truck. So currently I'm swapping out the old Dana 30 and putting in a rebuilt full width high pinion dana 44. Taking out the old drop arm brackets and putting in some long arms as well. I don't know how I can post pictures but I would like to share them if someone could help me out lol.

I just checked out the original thread. Awesome story. That 1k price tag seems insane now! Best of luck on the project!

Thank you everyone for helping me find out how to post pictures

It all started one day when I was cleaning up the yard, and I just so happened to come across this golden egg. Our original plan was to swap out the front end with a Dana 44. But once I found the full width I figured why not do this one. Of course cause it has been sitting in the weather for so long I had to cut out the inner C. Once that speed bump was taken care of I decided to replace all the bearings and since the diff was out I went ahead a Miller locked the front end. Because I welded the diff i hard time putting it back and getting the right shim count. Thus that picture us using the engine host to pull it out. Then came time for the hubs. The old Hubs much have had an awesome time, cause they where worn out and broken. So ordered me some warn hubs Once all of that was completed. Then it was just waiting on a weekend to do the swap.

The build goes on, swapped the Dana 30 for the 44. Moved the axle 1" forward and moved the coil buckets and shock towers. Moved the coil buckets out 2" to compensate for the legnth. Had to dill out the knuckles to make tie rod over for more clearance. Welded up some stronger steering linkage and got better shocks. Modified the Trac bar bracket to make a better angle. Now it's time to the rear just gotta take one step at a time. Then body work........
