Keeping the 2.9. I did buy a set of ranger running gear, D35hd front end and a 8.8 rear with 3.73 and LS. I figure Iwill get him a good starting point and he can go from there. I will get some photos up tonight an go ahead and show it in this thread, it will be Step 2.

My 73 Bronco

Now yall have seen my shop (though it is still in progress) so I figure I will introduce you to my 73 Bronco. It is an early 73 due to the fact it has a T shift from the factory but that is about it as far as unique-ness goes.

Now the Step 2 part....

Well Step 2 involves a bronco but not my bronco (though I paid for it) but my sons. It is a 1987 B2 2.9 5spd. Plans for it are new axles (already purchased), 31 X10.50 BFG (AT or MT, haven't decided yet), new interior, new paint, new exhaust with headers and freshen the motor and tranny by removing, new pan, valve covers, intake, front and rear mains and timing cover. Fresh paint and detail for the motor and engine bay. New clutch and rebuild the shifter for the tranny and then put it all back together and get it out of my shop. So without further ado..... Here is my sons B2 and its progress which has been it tear down....

Well here are some more pics of my work today. Got the donor car moved into the shop (Finally!) and started getting it ready to pull apart. I am keeping the motor, AOD tranny, power seats and whatever else I can graft int my EB like I decided today I will keep the fuel door and it is a remote open unit and I think it will work.

Well, great progress today and phase 2 is officially complete. The donor is stripped, pulled the motor, trans, seats and several other goodies I will see if I can work into my build. Enjoy the photos!

And more... My son was posing my fuel filler door for me. I am hoping to be able to graft it together and retain the push button door release for it.

Looking good.... Gotta say though, thats a shame to see the LSC getting stripped like that. Thery were nice cars when they came out... What is that, a '92?

91. It was wrecked and I was thinking to myself as I tore it down what a nice ride it could have been BUT my EB will benefiet from it so its not a total waste. (And I a staying in the FORD family for most of the "donated" parts for my build);D

Yea, I'm all for it being all ford.. I remember working on them when they were new, in fact my grandmother ended up buying an electric red one in '92. Sharp looking, mono-chromatic and just an overall nice ride.. As I cut a 2'x2' chunk out of the donor Explorer's firewall, I had to cringe too, but got over it....

The woerd thing with how this one was wrecked, he hit a wall (litterally) on the front pass corner but it buckled at the drivers door. Thr pass front corner and grill are smashed and the drivers door gets into the fender pretty good when you open it. As in any good transplant, the doated parts will go on to a better life. I was actually thinking about cutting the moon roof out but it seems everytime I see something new orthink of what would be cool it adds time to the build and if I want to look up and see the sky, the hard top can come off easy enough (I am also planning a soft top for summer...)
