Thank you for all the compliments! It’s in excellent shape. Only rust issues are in the passenger front floor. On the later doors, I may actually know the story, but can’t confirm it just yet. It’s a long one so I’ll have to type it out later today. If it’s the same Bronco, It’s a crazy coincidence!

As far as my little one, he liked it and gave it a good look over, and even went for a short ride!

That's what it's all about right there!

Now for a crazy story...

A few years ago, give or take, a coworker of mine told me a story about when he was in the Navy years ago.

He was taken to Camp Lejeune, a Marines base in North Carolina for some sort of exercise or training. When he arrived he was taken to a barrack and was told “If you need to go anywhere, there’s a Bronco outside you can use”. Sometime later he happened to look outside, and there’s a tree laying across the Bronco! It was laying from front to back.

Now to consider, this Bronco has later doors, later tailgate, and a different top. It was owned by a town in North Carolina. I asked him about the story again a couple weeks ago and got a few more details.

Is it possible this is the same Bronco a coworker of mine saw years ago?

tooo cool brother.. Big congrats

I was keeping this quiet until Townsend or the Jamboree in Heflin, Alabama, but since we don’t know for sure if those will happen I’m going to spill the beans!

Earlier this month, I worked out a deal on the Glen Alpine Police Bronco that was owned by the town of Glen Alpine, North Carolina. Some of you probably remember it from the govdeals auction in 2014, and some will recognize it from the Greenlight Diecast toy that was modeled after it.

The story goes, after the govdeals auction closed, it was shipped to South Texas to its new owner. The same gentleman owned it until a couple weeks ago. A friend of mine spotted it outside his shop where it had just been moved outside from inside storage. My friend stopped at the shop and sent me tons of pictures and information, then I was able to acquire it.

The Bronco is super solid.. The odometer hasn’t changed much since 2014 and still shows 14k miles. After driving it, I believe it is original. It drives just like my 66 U13 which has the same miles, everything solid and tight!

This is also a Military Bronco and was made 14 units after my other Military!

I’ll be cleaning and tuning it up, doing a little interior work, then taking it to shows and enjoying!

Whoa... This is my first time seeing this Bronco! I am very familiar with the town in which it came from too. That right there is one cool truck. Congratulations

Congrats Jimmy, quite the celebrity Bronco corral you’re rounding up there!

Wow!! I hope I get to see it in Townsend

Now you’re gonna make him choose between bringing the Green Acres and the Glen Alpine Broncos?? Heck, on second thought - bring ‘em both;D

Glen Alpine will hopefully be there, Green Acres won’t be unfortunately. I’m hoping I’ll be starting the restoration on it early next year though.

would love to get a set of mirrors like those!!!

TheBroncoRanch sells reproductions of the bases and stems, as well as the 66 style mirror head. He may have some of the 67 mirror heads also.

M&M70..
Those mirrors are very close to #609 PM. or Peterson Mfg mirrors .. The adjustable arms might need to come from some other mirrors like RV shops sell.
Now that little bracket that bolts on the fender it might be a tad hard to find .
But someone with a CNC & A POUND OF ALUMINUM could mill it out in no time .

Now those mirrors come in Black or paintable or Chrome or STAINLESS STEAL .
........
.. nO Mine would not be stock but I'll bet they'd be hard to see the difference.

Did a little digging inside the Bronco today and learned another bit of history that I was completely unaware of. It was owned by another police department before Glen Alpine! According to the registration papers I found, it was owned by the Rhodhiss Police Department in North Carolina.

One of the papers I found was from 2003, and has the mileage listed as 13,866. Also, the pedals have very little wear or dirt buildup in them. More evidence of actual mileage!
