Ok got it cranking not real great but it fires up! set timing 10 degrees with spout unplugged, adj idle set screw to 800 for now, got some codes rich both hegos, maf failed volt test, ect act failed volt tests......then it died, got it running again...now cant get any codes? get "00"

5-8 bank is blowing gas out the exhaust enough to be wet on the floor..killed it thought it was oil...checked the wires(new ford racing) no problems noticed...gonna go get some new plugs..while it cools and try to ID missing cyl when i change em.

???whats the plug gap on a TFI 302??? I know the plugs in it are at .055 but they were set for HEI

If it wasnt missin ID say gonna run damn good! noted eec changing things around while it was running

Both exhausts were sohowing rich signs lil smoke however the 1-4 side cleaned up nicely

thats all i know fer now! that and its gonna be a beast!

Are you running new injectors or are these like mine... sat around for 4 years. I ran some Nissan fuel injector cleaner with an OTC Injector Canister after I cranked it for the first time. It would stumble and miss, but as I ran the injector cleaner, it cleared up the injectors within 10-15 seconds. Ran perfect after that.

Find out why your sensors are failing the volt test.
Do you have a 5 volt reference at these sensors? Use a volt meter and check.

honestly I didnt gap my plugs I just stuck them in, i cant see .015 making that much of a diff, not the issue you have. How and where are you going to mount your ECM

did you check fuel pressure at all. sounds like you got a great amount of fuel flowing for it to be flowing out the exhaust like that. you better check your oil and give it a smell. hate to see you run that thing if it is a new engine and have all that gas thin out the oil and washout a bearing.

ACT and ECT can't fail volt tests.

Try unplugging the MAF.

ok VW they failed something and I lost the codes

any how think injector on #8 is the miss culprit heres why...pulled the plugs on left bank #8 soaked in gas...went and got the new plugs put em all in.....fired off like a dream instant .......left bank burned clean for about a min then started spittin gas again...still had the miss...checked #8 for fire, firing away ran the same W/O #8 plug wire....pulled the plug soaked again #5 clean as a whistle in comparision...so best I can figure #8 injector is a junker?

i would start by rechecking all the wiring and grounds.

thats for the codes issue correct?

when it cranked with the new plugs ran awesome for about a min...then good ole #8

I was told once never piss off the 8 god but I thought that was in poker!!!

You checked them the RJM way? How do they tell you to? I don't know if I checked mine the correct way or not, but I wired the injector and the fuel pump to my soloniod trigger. Then hooked the fuel line up over the tip of the injector and held it on as tight as possible. The pressure would push off the hose if I tried to hold the button on for too long. Mine all sprayed a nice even circle and pattern?

That #8 injector is what I sounds like to me too, might be drizzling out under pressure?
