The reverse light pigtail on the ZF

Does it complete the circuit for positive, or negative?

I utilize LED lights for added umph reverse lights on the truck, and I have an extra, so I've tucked it under the hitch/bumper where I'd welded a tab when I built the bumper a few years back.


I'm either backing the boat trailer at night or early in the morning and these lights are clutch.

The night light/phone's capability blows out this photo, makes it look a lot brighter than they are...

It's a switch, it can be wired either way.
But generally it is on the positive leg, the negative of the bulb grounding to the housing.
If you want to wire it as a switched ground, that will work fine as well, providing the bulbs grounds are isolated.
