Things you keep fixing over and over and will probably fix again

"I swear I just fixed that"
I find myself saying this all the time. If you've owned your bronco for a wile you will end up fixing, replacing, tightening things over and over but sometimes there are things that just keep doing it before you get it right.
Like, for the last year and again today the linkage rod to my outside drivers door keeps popping off. I have put it back on now maybe 15 times. I have replaced the plastic keeper twice, oiled the latch, tweeked the rod this way and that, taped it to the keeper, it works fine then a week or two later I'll come out to my car and push the button to open the door and its not connected again and now I'm going to fix it again.
This is just the latest thing that is driving me nuts. There have been many others over the years.
Anyone else have one that's killing them?

My door latch. Won't open when unlocked. It does this intermittently. Some days no problem, other days I'm climbing in from the passenger side. I'll attempt to fix again today, it seems to be worn out on one of the ramps in the release gear.

I keep putting Velcro strips in the window rails instead of breaking down and buying new window anti rattle kit!

I've had the same problems with my doors as well, I bought all new parts, still having issues with my windows, they go up real smooth but come off track on the way down. Seems to me that the guide in the rear should extend up higher, bottom of glass always gets caught and comes off the lower track. Very frustrating! I'll get it eventually...

Door seals

The door seals drive me nuts. My originals lasted 27 years. I haven't found a replacement yet that doesn't require me to slam the door to get it closed. I've tried all the vendors and even Scott Drake with the same results. All are junk!

The damn tires. I fill them to the recommended pressure, then six months later, they need more air! ;D

I got tired of the twinstick pivot bolt backing out so I safety wired it. I still get tired of replacing the trackbar bushings every couple years.

Heartbronco, My Bronco has been called worse than car over the 17+ years of our love hate relationship. There is nothing I could ever do or say to her that she hasn't given back to me X 10 already. Our highest highs and our lowest lows we've shared together and We are way past the petty name calling fights. Besides she's just a BITCH but I still love her and you can tell her I said so.:-*

hatch latch gasket

I just thought of another often replaced item on my CAR;D. The gasket under the rear hatch handle used to be made of molded plastic like the ones under the mirrors and door handles. I lasted many years. I've replaced it with the available rubber ones four times and now it's spitting it out again. Just more junk!
