For those of you that have stretched your wheelbase:

1. I am looking for info on how much front/rear you went and what issues you ran into.
2. Did you strech your frame as well?
3. Did you keep it front coil and rear springs?
4. Did you keep the body stock width or have to bob due to clearnace issues?

Just thinking ahead..

Look at Mike Sterling's green rig and Steve's yellow rig. Both simple and very capable built rigs. Those 2 rigs are impressive, well maybe Steve's is custom built but that thing did "vertical challenge" unassisted.
Kyle, your rig is awesome too. A very different animal from what I rode in last year and your confidence level is much higher now... ;)

Kyle,
I've done a lot of stretch jobs and can help guide you through. here's some ideas. I'm probably going to get punched for saying this but with a CJ-7 gas tank you can get 4-1/2" in the rear and not have to put a tank in the bed. The front can only go about 1-1/2" without moving the steering box forward or going full hydraulic. I'm a believer in link suspension front and rear, no leafs and no radius arms. Mad is right can't use mine as an example, its all custom with the frame around the drivetrain.

On another note it was great to spend time with everyone, first OCBR since 2002 and the first time with a bronco. In the past was always an honorary trail leader.

I stretched the rear back 10", but had to move the fuel tank to in the bed. I also had a lot of sheet metal cutting to do. I left the front stock and plan on stretching it when I do full hydro.

In the rear, I had coilovers but ended up putting a coil spring in the rear with a 4 link. Front is stock / long arms.

Dude, you're nuckin futs! Leave that freaking bronco alone before you go too far into the dark side and can't drive it anymore!

Seriously though, stretching the wheelbase makes a huge difference in capability, which you probably already know... Just buy my trail rig body/frame and do it to that one instead of yours ;D... A puppy dies everytime you modify your current rig

too far is all about execution, mine is about as far as one can get, and drives on the street as well as any late model pickup. And then turns around and hangs with the best of them on the trail. Its all about proper layout, geometery and parts.

I agree Yeller, they can still be driven on the street with no issues.. I just remember what his rig was a year ago and what it is now. VERY NICE, but moving closer to the dark-side by the minute. If he's getting another to stretch I put my stamp of approval on it ;)
