Is it possible to disassemble, clean up, change the bushings and put back together? I don't see any kits on venders sites to do this and I couldn't find anything in the search box.

Thx!

Why does yours need new bushings? Reaching back with the way-back memory I recall taking the assembly off and you could move it easily with a finger, but it would stay in whatever position you put it in. If it flops back and forth with gravity, it may be too loose.

The drag in moving the crank is from the sides being too tight. I pulled mine apart a little and the crant turned freely.

Have you tried relieving the pressure from the sides being overly tight towards the center? Any drag in the accelerator linkage is a bad thing. It makes a larger return spring necessary and does no good. Some knuckleheads put a cable linkage in, when a little tweaking is all that's needed. Take the 2 rods off the crank and you'll see what happens by simply taking the pressure off the bushings.

So how does it come apart?

The sides were bent to the center too far. I simply pulled them apart or spread them by slightly bending them. You can do this in place. So you don't have to remove it or disconnect the accelerator rods, but doing so allows you to feel the point where the pressure is off the bushings. Don't bend it too far, but you almost have to try to do that.
