That said, I'd make the frame fit whatever steering box I intended to use if possible. Especially if I was using a stock bronco steering box, that way swapping to another box is just a matter of bolts and not doing this all over again.
I second this approach if possible. Just drill it out where you need it but oversized, weld-in some tubes for the bolt locations to help reinforce the area and go have a beer and admire your work. It wouldn't take much time at all but that assumes you have a shop with a welder.
Well I cut the main core section to clear the steering box, And I sliced and diced the borg box a tad on the top left hole, still no dice. I plan on opening up the holes a tad, blue paint marker is what I need to clear.
I posted a photo of the mounting location for SA
I want to use the borg steering box, because my original needs to be rebuilt.
I had the same problem with a new borg box on my stock 74 frame. The sloppy box I pulled off was also a borg box and the holes had been stretched a bit. I ended up using a carbide bit in a die grinder and extending the top right hole of the steering box enough to get them all in. I had a brand new bit and it only took a few minutes of grinding.
