Tie Rod bent

once it's bent, it'll never be as strong again. lots of options for new ones, from stock, to 3 way adjustable stock strength, to F-150 which is a little stronger, to 1 ton tie rod ends which is pretty much ultimate. just look thru some of the vendor websites above and to the left. most auto part stores can order stock ones, but they've been more expensive than our vendors in my previous experience. it just depends how strong you want and what you intend on doing with your bronco.

keep in mind if you plan on upgrading to F-150 or 1 ton ends, you'll need to either buy or borrow a reamer to enlarge your knuckles and pitman arm for the larger ends.

since you're in austin, BC is real pleasurable to deal with, they carry the F-150 tie rods, and also carry heim joint tie rod conversions. they're right up in ingram, about 70 miles west of san antonio.

Bend it straight so you can move the Bronco around. Then find a replacment for it.

the knuckles ream pretty easy, but the pitman arm takes a little longer. just be sure and use plenty of lubricant. and you only need reaming if you go aftermarket tie rods, stock doesn't require it.

I don't think the PO pulled the Bronco out with it... that is a common way for the tie rod to bend under load.....

We've had all kinds of trail repairs to make it strong enough to get off the trail...but as said earlier once it's straightened it will keep bending....
