Heim joint steering. Bulletproof is the brand I use. Stonecrusher is popular as well

Chebby 1 ton.
Easy, strong as hell, common rod ends found at most parts stores, easier to maintain, longer lasting than heim's, and I'm pretty sure they give you greater range of motion.

I've been running the StoneCrusher setup for a few years now. Beat my tie rod on the rocks a few times and it seems to be holding up well.
