stabil also makes an ethanol preservative formula. I'm not seeing how it could be that gummed up, I go two years with same gas in tank, zero issue to date using stabil. I think Az has up to 10% ethanol but only winter blend. Pretty sure I am only using summer blend which has none..

On all my small engines I just buy pure gas or for the mix gas I buy the stuff in a can from the big box store.

Agreeing with what other have said. If your running the 302, find a junker and grab everything off a v-8 explorer including harness and computer. Around here I can still find a running high mileage car for a decent price and buy the whole car and take my time taking it a part. Likely not true in all parts of the country.
