Tires 33 X10.5 or 12.5?

I need a little advice. I have a 2.5 - 3" lift. I have rear flares but hoping to leave the front fenders alone (they are so nice). I want to run BFG Mudders 33" but not sure if I can.

1. Can I run 33's with 2.5-3" lift and stock front renders?

2. If yes, should I use 33 X 10.5 or 12.5 tires?

3. Then should I use 8" wheel for the 10.5 and or 10" for 12.5?

I should add it is a pavement pony, the mudders are just for looks, sorry.

You will most likely need to trim the front edge of your front fenders with either tire combo you decide on. A 33 will rub the lower front corner when turning and hitting a bump at the same time. If trimmed correctly you cannot hardly tell the difference from the factory look of the fender.

Thanks for the help. Something seeming to be so simple can be confusing. I don't even want to ask about offsets. Thank you

I have ran 33 12.50s with no lift, but the front fenders were already trimmed a little when I got it. Remember that suspension moves. Just because it clears parked in the driveway doesn't mean it will clear when driving, especially off road. Lift will help with the static part of it, but the compressed limit will be the same unless taller bump stops are installed. Just something to think of when someone recomends an amount of lift to clear a tire. I know you said a street queen, but you will be surprised how much the suspension can move even on the street. I have seen parking garages that can lift a rear tire of passenger cars without the driver even knowing it.

Personally I like the 12.50 tire on a 10" rim. I think it looks well proportioned. Some like the 12.50 on an 8" rim claiming it protects the rim more and can run lower tire pressure. I have no issues with that on a trail rig. But for street use it puckers the tire too much and you can't get a good street tire pressure without riding on the crown of the tire.
10.50 on an 8" is a good match as well, just not as much of a fan of the 10.50 in the 33" size.

I had 31X10.5 on a 2.5" SL with no issues. I went to 33X12.5 and they rub on the front fenders' leading edge when bumpy.

I had 31X10.5s on a 2.5" SL with no issues; rear fenders are cut with flares, front is not. I went to 33X12.5 and they rub on the front fenders' leading edge when bumpy, will cut and flare those soon. 31s were on 8" wheels. 33s are on 10".

15" Wheels and Tires are going to be hard to come by soon if not now. Go 17" with no more then 3.5" backspace. This should minimize radius arm rub, and give enough clearance for TRO if you ever do that.

As for Wheel and Tire width, I have settled on 12.50 on a 9" rim.

I am getting these in flat black...

Took a long time to find them.

I like the 33x10.50s way better than the 12.50's running a set of 12.50's now on 8in rims only because noone had 10.50s when I needed tires.
