I just disassembled the front brakes on my truck and am getting ready to put in toms disc brake conversion. I recieved the directions but no diagrams. in said directions it refers to a diagram numerous times but yet i do not have them. does any one have a good exploded view diagram on how this kit is supposed to go together. I need to know how much, and where, to grind my knuckles and the order that some of the seals go in. of course toms is closed on weekends so that wont help me much. I am dying to get this thing on the road for the fabulous fords show in a month and stuff like this really slows me down. thank you in advance

To know how much to grind the knuckles, just bolt on the backing plate, and line up the caliper in the mounting holes. You'll see where you need to grind, and if you push the caliper in towards the vehicle center you'll be able to figure out how much to grind out. And grind more than you think you need to or you'll be doing it again for more room. I would also suggest looking at the chevy disk swap links to the left for a reference and for a diagram. Good luck.

I just installed their 4 wheel disc kit. After going thru all the boxes I could only find one page of instruction for the front. I called Toms and asked if they could e-mail me everything. Had both instruction in about 3 minutes.

I put the same kit in last fall. I have to be honest, the directions didn't help that much. If you want a copy of what they sent me I could try to fax it to you tonight (my scanner isn't working to be able to email them). As far as grinding the knuckles, needabronco is right, you just keep grinding at the contact point until it fits. Good luck, Dave
