Tom's premium carpet cat vs the sport mat

Looking at both trying to decide which would be better for my 69 half cab resto mod project. Going to use either Tom's floor insulation kit or a diy product off Amazon, which raises concerns with the sport mat fitting correctly as the carpet is more forgiving. Looking for input from those that have done the sport mat with floor insulation on how well it fit with the floor insulation added.

Sorry, I can’t help yet. I had my sport mat waiting to go in over our WH insulation kit (Racket Jacket) for far too long now.
Too busy and probably won’t be finished for quite a while longer. But interested to hear what others have found.
