Took the top off but now there is a large gap

So i took the top off the Bronco and of course took the weather stripping off as well since it was connected to the top. I went to cut the weather strip at the top and put back on but noticed that even in doing so there is still a gap between the windshield and the door, what causes this. Otherwise it looks pretty awesome!

It sounds like you took the top off and the windshield moved forward. Without the top on there is not too much to keep the windshield from moving. If you have a roll cage you can install turn buckles from the cage to the windshield.

Easiest way is to pay to upgrade your account and become a contrubutor. Then you can add photos to your posts.
Another way is to put your photos on the web somewhere then use the tool bar option to incert an image URL.

I agree with JohnJohn. The weatherstrip under the frame is probably pushing the windshield forward. As he said, if you have a cage, you can get turnbuckles to tighten things back up. I believe BCB sells a set that are long enough to extend back to the main hoop if you have a simple four-point.

thanks I may also fold the windshield down and see if there is anything below the frame that might be blocking the windshield from seating correctly
