I just bought my new f250 shock towers, and will be trying to cut the old ones off. Does anyone have any suggestions on the easiest way of doing this? Also i have to holes on the new mounts,,I believe the old ones only have one. Should i use 2 bolts on the frame plus the weld?

I don't know the answer to your question, but what was the year of F-250 that you got the mounts for? Are they all the same throughout the eighties and nineties? I just hear people talk about the "F-250 mounts" but nobody ever states what year they get them for.

I believe there all the same, only difference being one or 2 holes depending on the years. I believe they changed in the late 90,s...was told either will work. Got mine from the dealership for 8$ a piece, well worth it in my opinion.

I read somewhere to use bolts AND weld around the mount or it will eventually twist screwing up your shocks.. Cheap insurance at least!

There are some tech articles about installing these in the "Over 500 Links" section too.

Couple past threads that may help as well:
