Don't laugh at me.

Some EBs I see have color matched or mainly white grills and some have what looks like a raw steel grill or brushed. Now I know there' a chrome grill, is that what I'm seeing an old tarnished or oxidized chrome grill?

I've looked at a couple of vendors but I've only come up w/ chrome grills?:?

Look at the rig I've attached, is that a chrome grill, painted or what? That's what I'm looking for.

I actually stalked a guy the other day who pulled into my local grocery store with his EB and asked him and he stated there's a year range like late 60s to early 70s that have the raw looking steel grill but I don't see anything on the vendors' sites.

I may be wrong but from the factory there were only white or (Wimbledon white) or argent silver painted grills.

There were some aftermarket or special dealer installed chrome grills but the chrome was on the whole grill shell not just the center section.

That is a paint. The paint color in that picture you referenced is the color Argent like rustytruck mentioned.
He did forget to mention that some Broncos had a black painted center on a special decor .

There is a grill trim that came on sport models and rangers also.

I believe I saw body color painted grills in a Bronco dealership brochure..so I think it was an option.

I'm no expert but I disagree with the statement made above.....I think that a body color grill is always a repaint and never came from the factory that way.

As far as I know the grille was either white or argent from the factory. I'd agree that the center being body color would be a custom re-paint.

However, there were some decor & stripe options in the last few years that I'm not super familiar with. Some of those may have had body color grilles.

The only grille colors from the factory were W. white, argent and black on the '76 and '77 special décor groups. The standard and the Explorer Bronco had white grilles with black painted 'FORD'. The Rangers and the Sports had argent grilles with the chrome and red insert letters and chrome grille trim. The black special décor grilles had the chrome letters but only the sport special décor had the grille trim.
