I did a search and found a few threads about this topic and the consensus seems to be that I need to change a double-lipped seal inside the tranny-to-TC case adapter. However, I have remove the TC and the adapter and I don't see a seal in the adapter or a seat where one is supposed to be. Can someone please shed some light on this for me?

TIA, Marc.

You don't need to remove the adapter. The seal is in the bearing retainer in the input hole of the tcase. The retainer just pulls straight out but has an o-ring that holds it in tight. Remove the snap ring holding the bearing/spud in the retainer and you can tap them out.
