I have a questioned about switching from the T handle to the twin shifter on a Dana 20 in my 1969 Bronco. Is this a difficult modification? I have attached pictures of the current setup. Thanks!

With that hole cut in the tunnel it will be an easy swap. Everything bolts into the stock locations. I see getting the cotter pins out and the new ones in as the most difficult and contorting part of this process for you.

Thank you for the input. Where would I go to purchase the twin shifter?

Why are you looking to twin stick it? While adding a twin stick to a stock T-shift case does make it slightly easier to shift, if you're looking to be able to truly independently shift the front and rears, you'll need to do some work to the inside parts of the transfer case.

All of the vendors who advertise on this site sell one form of twin stick or another. JB Fab makes every possible combination you can imagine and is a big supporter of the EB hobby.

Thanks for the information. I am looking for a solution to easier shifting. I am dropping the TC to rebuild. I will make the necessary changes then for the twin stick install. That being said, what does it cost to have a Dana 20 rebuilt?

Not sure where you are, but Nick at Northeast Classic Ford Parts rebuilt my Dana 20 and 3-speed trans. Tom’s also sells them ready for twin stick for not much more than a rebuild cost. Lots will say it’s easy enough to do yourself, but I felt it was just beyond my skill set.

I rebuilt my Dana 20 last winter. Never done it before, but with a couple of YouTube videos and the information and tear down instruction in this thread, it was really not that hard. I think the most difficult part was removing a C-clip from between a couple of gears. A shop press is helpful (needed?) to install some bearings if I recall.
The rebuild kits offered by the vendors on this site have pretty much everything you need parts wise.

Thank you. I have toyed with the thought of doing it myself. My farther-in-law was a heavy equipment mechanic. We have a good relationship  I will ask him for help.

I have more questions than answers.
This is really a good place to start learning to rebuild boxes or just understanding how they work. Setting the rear preload is the hardest part and there are videos to walk you through it.

Plenty of help here as well.

No, its an easy installation, and they work great, a very worth while upgrade. I did mine in under two hours.
