Man, that sounds interesting. My mechanic mentioned putting a turbo on my 200 but I have 3-4 major jobs before I can think about that.

Are you running a carb? If running a 2bdl carb a progessive would be the best. But in the end a EFI would probley save a lot of tuning headaches.

Msd has a boost timing master set-up. Back in the day a pyrometer was a window into the tuning side but now a days a fuel air ratio meter will help alot.

I can't help you myself but I may know someone who can. I bought a built and stroked 250 short block from a guy here in Boise in 2009. He had been running the engine turbo charged in a '78 Fairlane. The dyno I saw showed somewhere north of 450hp. Anyway, his name is Walt and he used to hang out on the classicinline chat room and went by Fast64ranchero. You may look up his old thread and try to PM him there.

When I bought the engine he had sold both heads he built and was repurposing the turbo for a REALLY custom pinto 4 cylinder (I think).

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I talked to Ford six tech over the phone but its always nice to get pointers from people that actually use them. Yes I'm running a carb. I was told I may need to go to a soild float. I already removed the choke plate. It's a 500cfm so no worries on over leaning. I'll try and post some pics after work. Thx guys. Oh rev ill probably be upgrading to tons soon :)

Here are some pics. My desktop dyno says ill be around 250 hp and 300 ftlbs. not to shabby for an inline that came from the factory with 99hp

Add a pyrometer and 15lbs won't blow a head gasket, theses little engines are tuff.

The problem I think you are going to have by not using a progessive two barrel is fuel enrichment, use the secondaries as the fuel enrichment side with a straight two barrel you'll have to add a enrichment circut such as a add on fuel enjector. Again use a pyrometer.
