Well my project is moving forward slower than planned but that's always the case.

Latest "snag" is the discovery of the 2000 model year R2 and the J shift twins not playing well together.

Pic explain it the issue. Trans is in second gear and T-case in (front and rear) in low.

While I don't think I've ever been in 4 low and second gear you never know what the future hold.

Open to all suggestions. Guessing "bend them" will win out.

Yep, looks like your R2 has a the rear shifter location (preferred).
Just throw them in the mail, and we will be happy to adjust them for you. We can do that without leaving any marks on the handles.
Email me if you have any specific requirements for the bends other that 45* down 6" from top?
Doesn't matter if you got them from a vendor or us.
Turnaround time will be about 48 hours.

Yup....rear shifter position.

As always your products and service are top notch. I may take you up on the bending once I figure out the angles. I'll shoot you an email once I figure it out

When I mocked it all up I didn't have the R2 shifter on else I would have found this earlier. I've got to blow it all apart again and do some welding.

Oh and just a note.....my statement about figuring out the angles.....I have to put the factory bench seat back in before I can figure out what needs to be bent where.....

What I would do is order a hurst shifter for the M5ROD-2, same as the ranger shifters, and it may clear, or at least give you a better starting point to make a custom shifter arm that can be bolted on.

I think those go for anywhere between $350 -$550 bucks. Going to try a few things first before blowing the budget. My rig is not near as nice as most on this board so bent sticks will fit the theme. I'm considering just giving the stick that operates the rear a slight kick to the left and call it good. I can't really bend them back due to the bench seat (see pic). Just needs to clear the R2 shifter in R and I think I can live with it.

Jon

I ended up giving both sticks just a small amount of bend spreading them out. Seemed to be the easiest thing to do. I went in small increments so had them in and out more times than I'll admit.

The shifter no longer contacts the sticks in any gear or configuration.
