All together
So here's my pics of how it fit the best
I took my shroud & fan back off to get a nice fit

What I found worked the best was just putting a dab of lube on the pipe where the hose slides on
This allowed me to install it & slide it around a bit for clearance issues then I clamped it down
I found that without the lube once it went on the radiator/water pump neck it act moving & adjusting it just right was impossible

Glad it went together ok. I occasionally do the same thing. A Ford dealership mechanic years ago told me to use a little white lithium grease on the inside of the hose and I found that to work well.

I always use silicone spray lube on rubber hose connections. Makes moving them around for positioning super easy and when it dries it doesn’t stay slick so it stays in place.

Where did you get the shroud?
It is an electric fan/ shroud assembly from an 06 jeep liberty trimmed to fit then brackets I made so no mods to radiator itself ,, original radiator that was re cored in the 90’s,, if the electric fan doesn’t work out I’ll go to the explorer fan an clutch I would also attempt to cut out the center of that fan and ribbing to see if I can make work the electric fan is nearly centered with water pump hub ,, But it’s 06 2speed jeep liberty fan assembly,.

Agree. I worked at dealerships for a few years & they told me the same
