Vent window issue

Rebuilding the whole door. Removed the vent window started to take it apart and strip old molding off of it and found the bolt with the tension spring on it that goes through the frame and into glass broke off inside the frame that surround the glass itself. Apparently this bolt is riveted to this "Frame" attached to the glass. I did order a new one but it is apparent that I have to remove this "frame" around the glass to put the new hardware in because it's riveted in😤 How the hell do you remove this "frame" without destroying the glass? Then reinstall it?any help appreciated.

Vent glass removal.

Heat is your friend. I soaked them in hot ,hot, water in the sink. A heat gun works also to soften the glass rubber bedding. Once you soften them you can work the frames off the glass. Be patient and take your time. GOOD LUCK.

Also have some wax and grease remover ( mineral spirits ) to clean up glass and frame before reassembly Buy the black adhesive from a local glass shop. It's messy for sure.
