Ok my incessant need for all things to look new and/or shiny is causing me problems again.

I removed the Master Cylinder Cap to clean it up and paint it. Now I have a leak at the cap. The gasket is a Wagner FE-78336 part. My research indicates that part # is obsolete and I can't find a replacement.

Anyone found a replacement or a fix? I found two threads on the forum, but neither indicated they found a fix.

B/T/W- I have had the cap off so many times now that the paint no longer looks shiny and new. I may never learn. :(

Thanks in advance

Just take the bale off and bend it to a tighter position.
The bale isn't really easy to bend, I had to use a hammer and tap it kind of hard.
This is a common problem....just needs more pressure from the retaining bale....unless your gasket is really mangled this should be all you need to do.
