I need the help from the body shop guru's out there. What is the best way to install the weatherstripping around the doors? Best adhesive and application?

I just put on the WH Door Trim Kit and used the Napa brand adhesive. REALLY clean the glue surface on both the metal and especially the rubber trim. Wait for it to get tacky and you are good to go...

I used the 3M yellow gorilla snot stuff. Worked really well. Also used wooden clothes pins spaced about every 1 to 2 inches to hold it while the glue dried.

I've used both. Excellent. 3M is one of the companies that don't screw around. Can't go wrong.

Use just enough and if it "squirshes out" get it off right away. Have a wet hand towell handy.

Do a dry run to make sure any holes you have to drill for the strip mounted tabs are in the right place. Nothing is worse, or looks worse, than having to strectch the weather stripping to get it to line up.

Slam the door on her and let it sit overnight.

Use the black. I used the yellow and it worked well but you could really see it where it squished out a little.

That yellow stuff is a PITA to get off your hands. Wear some latex gloves and it'll save you a lot of clean up time. The weather strip that goes around the bottom of the doors (from windshield frame down and around to the door striker is very important. You may need to add a screw to the end pieces.
