Having a huge problem getting a transmission dipstick tube to fit on my buggy project. I usually modify a set of early Mustang headers to fit my Bronco's but couldn't get a tube to fit so I said the heck with it and bought a set of WH shortie's and I still can't get the Hughes dip stick tube to fit. I've also bought a Lokar tube and it won't fit either any body else fought this battle before??

can you shorten the tube before the bend? cutting an inch out of it moves the stick in a bunch. I've done that before on something a few years back.

Yea thinking about doing that Nick, just need someone that's good with a Tig. The Hughes tube is thin steel and the Lokar is aluminum, remember which type you shortened?? Mind if I give you a call sometime and pick your brain with some questions about my camper??

steel, alum, doesn't matter. you can use a 50/50 rod that will work on either or both at the same time... ;)
