That looks substantial. I've not seen the installation of these. Do they use nutserts/revnuts or are they backed by washer and nut?
Mine use nuts and washer on all locations . Removing tail lens assemblies for access ,, mounting will very depending how quickly / patient / detailed you want to be ,, WH’s Mitch in his video used hex head bolts , also trimming for flares and side markers ( if using).

Looks good. I like that you went flush too - nothing to snag!

I have more questions than answers.
We left the mounting options up to the end user. I think most people will like the counter sunk method. They can take a solid smack and save your quarters if you are rock crawling.

If you don't want to trim the top part and still run a hardtop. The sides are easy, what about the windshield and getting the doors to seal?

Is this more hassle than it's worth?

Probably not much issue for you but what do you coat the backside and panel with?

Options: 1. Trim the panel to fit around the top when it's on. This is the best option IMO since you are trimming these anyway to fit your flares or lack of flares.
2. We have seen people use flat bar on the top of the quarter and windshield frame for proper gap. Seems like a lot of extra work.
You can primer and paint the back of the panel. Powder coating is another option.
